Misfit Score for disease associations represents the association of a disease with other possible categories in the ICD code structure. We defined it as a ratio of the number of diseases associated with diseases of another category to the top 50 associated diseases ranked by odds ratio.

Where Rank = sum of ranks of diseases belonging to a different category than disease X among top 50 diseases ranked by odds ratio.
